Chicken Koftay




You guys absolutely have to try this recipe, i'm sure you'll love them.


Ingredients:


- 2/3 cup oil

-1 large onion, pureed

-5 cloves

-2 green cardamoms

-1 cinnamon stick

- 5 black peppercorns

-1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

-1.5 tsp salt

-1 tsp chili powder

-1/2 tsp chili flakes

-1 tsp coriander powder

-1/4 tsp turmeric powder

-1 Cup tomato puree

-1 cup yogurt

-15 koftay

-2 cups water

- Handful of coriander leaves

- Green chilies

- 2 tsp garam masala


Method:


1. Heat 2/3 cup of oil in a pan and add pureed onion.

Cook until golden brown.


2. Add 5 cloves, 2 green cardamoms, 1 cinnamon

stick, and 5-8 black peppercorns. Cook for 2-3

minutes.


3. Add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste and cook for a

while.


4. Add 1.5 tsp salt, 1 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp chili

flakes, 1 tsp coriander powder, and 1/4 tsp turmeric

powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes.


5. Add 1 cup of tomato puree and cook for 8 minutes

on medium flame.


6. Add 1 cup of yogurt. Cover and cook until oil

separates.


7. Add 15 koftay and 2 cups of water. Cover and cook

for 20 minutes on medium flame.


8. Add a handful of coriander leaves, some greenchilies, and 2 tsp of garam masala. Mix well and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
